Solar Photography

So this morning I decided to start going to the gym again. It's been a while since I went to the gym. After checking my AM ecritique, and got my sister a few pics of the street in front of the hosue, I went out and found the sky to look wonderful today.

I remember that there was a report about the super large sunspot a few days ago.

So, I decided to break out the old telescope and have a look.

As you can see, the sunspots has dimmed and the sun has moved around so you can't see it anymore. Then I used the barlow to zoom in and got this:

Those are not sunspots. My Barlow lens is super dirty. After I took this picture, the clouds moved in and covered the sun so I lost the view and the sunlight so I decided to wrap up.

It's been forever since I cleaned up the barlow so I took it apart and have it cleaned using a lenspen.

This is a 3D photo, Cross your eyes to see it in 3D.
I also decided to clean the 18mm. It was clean as a whistle before the cleaning, but I polished it all the same.

I'm gonna have to disassemble the telescope and have a thorough clean up of the tube itself. But I'm worried that I won't be able to realign the mirror after the cleanup. :(
